GenTek Restructuring Information

Introduction
Welcome to the GenTek Inc. restructuring information web site.

On October 11, 2002, GenTek, most of its U.S. subsidiaries and its Noma Company Canadian Subsidiary filed voluntary petitions for reorganization under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. The Company's non-U.S. subsidiaries and affiliates other than Noma Company Canada were not included in the filing.

The Company’s Joint Plan of Reorganization (the "Plan"), which was confirmed by the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware on October 7, 2003, became effective on November 10, 2003. The effective date marks the Company’s formal emergence from Chapter 11.

The Company’s previously existing common stock (OTCBB: GNKIQ) has been cancelled and the new stock issued under the Plan will trade under the symbol OTCBB: GETI.
In conjunction with its emergence from Chapter 11, GenTek closed on a $125 million multi-year, asset-based revolving-credit facility, which will be used to fund working capital requirements, pay Plan obligations and for other general corporate purposes. Bank of America is the lead arranger and syndication agent of this credit facility.

Thank you for your understanding and support throughout our restructuring. We encourage you to return to our Web site at www.gentek-global.com for updates on our Company.
